TEW Club Project to
Promote Student Skills in Woodturning
A 2015 – current TEW Goal is to provide an interesting and exciting introduction to the world of woodturning. The High School has an active wood program, and we are enhancing their skills and interest in enjoying their makers projects with the addition of lathes and turning projects.
Volunteer turners are welcome!! Students love turning and also could use help with their furniture projects! And your support and talent is needed to keep our Chapter goal a team project.
We will help you navigate how to obtain the Volunteer pass, and work with you and the students to assure a fun and rewarding experience with students. We begin with pen turning, and many students over the years we have helped students they move on to projects such as these award winners:
