2016 POP Artist Showcase
Each year the Professional Outreach Program (POP) of the AAW showcases two wood artists. They are either experienced artists who have made significant contributions to the woodturning field but have not received appropriate recognition or emerging artists who have the potential for making significant contributions to the field. The two selected artists each give two demonstrations and receive free symposium registration plus a small honorarium. Their work is displayed prominently in the Instant Gallery. 2016 AAW Symposium Demonstrators
AAW’s 30th Annual International Symposium will be held in Atlanta, GA, June 9-12, 2016. Apply to be a demonstrator by October 15, 2015.
MD Woodturning Demonstrators
The Quad-State Bodgers Woodturners club is looking for experienced turners who want to demonstrate various projects/skills during our monthly meetings. We meet between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm on the third Saturday of each month in Cumberland, Maryland 21502. We can also offer the opportunity to have an all-day seminar the day before our meetings on Saturday. NJ Woodturning Demonstrators
The New Jersey Woodturners club is looking for professional turners who want to demonstrate various projects/skills during monthly meetings. We meet between 7:00 and 9:30 pm on the 4th Monday of each month. We meet at the ECEC in Roseland, NJ. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase your work, skills and possibly sell your projects, tools, workshop seminars or videos. We can also offer the opportunity to have an all-day seminar the day before our meetings on Sunday. If this may be of interest to you, please reach out to me. CraftBoston 2016
CraftBoston is a biannual show and sale of fine contemporary craft and design. Both CraftBoston Spring and CraftBoston Holiday unite talented makers with passionate and knowledgeable shoppers. CraftBoston welcomes exhibitor applications from both established and emerging artists making original work that shows exemplary execution of design, quality craftsmanship, and creative use of materials. (CraftBoston Spring: April 29 to May 1, 2016 – Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts CraftBoston Holiday: December 2 to 4, 2016 – Hynes Convention Center) There is one application and one deadline for both shows.
